WHO WE ARE

Low-income and underserved communities often face systemic barriers that limit their access to resources, opportunities, and information needed to improve their quality of life. These challenges can persist across generations, creating a cycle of disadvantage that is difficult to break. Without intervention, this deepens social inequality and hinders the collective progress of society.

DelCommunity is a California-registered nonprofit organization based in San Diego, committed to bridging social and economic gaps by empowering communities, promoting equity, and ensuring that individuals and families across San Diego and surrounding areas have equal opportunities to thrive.

Our Mission

How we do it

  • We work to advance social, economic, and environmental equity through programs and advocacy that nurture and enhance opportunities for systematically underrepresented communities.

  • As a voice for the communities we serve, we support the development of fair, inclusive, and accessible public policies and programs that reflect the needs and aspirations of all. 

  • We are dedicated to empowering low-income and underserved communities across California by enhancing quality of life, promoting well-being, and expanding opportunities for individuals and families to thrive.

DelCommunity aims to reduce social and economic inequality by:

  • Leveraging volunteer
    efforts

  • Private foundation support

  • Corporate social responsibility funds

  • Government grants and subsidies to deliver impactful and inclusive STEAM programs, projects, services, and activities.
